Here's to 2006!
January 03, 2006
Welcome back from the holidays!
If you’re like me, within the past week or so, you’ve started to give some thought to creating personal and professional goals for 2006. Of course, we all know that setting goals is the easy part. What’s tough is developing strategies that ensure we actually achieve our goals. Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll share eight strategies you can use to transform goals into accomplishments.
Here’s the first strategy--as soon as you begin to even think about creating a goal, make sure the goal is something you truly want to achieve.
Let me emphasize the word “you.” Any goal you set should involve your own personal aspirations. Whether you are considering career, family, social or physical goals, don’t set a goal merely to impress or please someone else. Establish a goal because it is fundamentally important to you.
