Happy Holidays!
December 20, 2005
By now, I suspect you’ve survived your office holiday party and work should finally be dwindling down. Unfortunately, for too many people, stress will continue to build throughout the holiday season. Today, please commit to making time during the next few days to take care of you.
Let’s face it, by their very nature, holidays are stressful. Each of us carries within our own minds a picture of the perfect holiday season, and each year, many of us seek to attain perfection. It’s time to let go of that. The reality is that most of us will wake up on Christmas morning and find brown lawns rather than snow. We won’t experience the perfect White Christmas, and that’s okay.
Over the next few weeks, try to set aside 15 or 20 minutes of quality time daily just for you. If you’re a walker, head outside and inhale some fresh air. If you meditate, find a quiet corner and seek a state of calm. If you’re a thinker, think about what the holidays really mean to you.
Wishing all of you a safe, happy and love-filled holiday season!!!
