Our Only Constant Is Change

Twelve years ago this month, I opened Mary Crane & Associates. Then, my e-mail address was mcrane@bellatlantic.com.  My web presence was limited to a single page web site that provided visitors with my contact information and nothing more. I relied upon dial-up Internet access whether I was at home or on the road. A “tweet” was the sound a bird made. And Mark Zuckerberg, God bless him, had not yet invented what initially was known as “the Facebook.”

Those were the days.

Today, the one constant we all face is rapid change. What was breaking news last week feels like ancient history today. I understand that increasingly you need to receive information fast and in the smallest sound bite possible.

With that in mind, I plan to move from quarterly distributions of E-Updates to quick Twitter and Facebook postings. To receive my Tweets, please follow MaryCraneAssoc on www.twitter.com. You may also “friend” Mary Crane on www.facebook.com.

Be assured I will use social media only to share information that I believe you should receive for your personal edification or to share with others in your organization. You will never receive a Tweet describing what I’ve just eaten for breakfast nor will I use my Facebook page to wax on about a travel nightmare. You will receive only news that you can use.

If you would prefer to continue to receive a quarterly update, let me know. I’ll send you a quick summary of the news I share socially with others.
